Knights of Columbus
St. Mary of
(Making a difference for life)
|
The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic fraternal organization with 1.75 million Catholic men and their families in 13,000 councils located in the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Philippines, Central America, the Caribbean, and Eastern Europe. We are guided by four core principles: charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. We are servants to the Church, to our communities, and to the less fortunate in our midst. We stand together as brothers to preserve traditional values in the face of attacks against the family and innocent human life. The Iowa Jurisdiction of the Knights of Columbus is under the direction of State Deputy Patrick T. O'Keefe of Des Moines, who is the chief executive officer and representative of the supreme knight for the Order in Iowa. Brother O'Keefe is a member of Saint Mary of Nazareth Knights of Columbus Council 11643, where he was Grand Knight from July 1, 1998 to June 30, 1999. Brother O'Keefe also served as Faithful Navigator for the Dowling Assemby from July 1, 2001 to June 30, 2002. If you would like more information about our council,
please call Paul Longfield (210-4721), Kraig Klopfenstein (278-4321) or Glen
